Flights To Mauritius

There are a handful of airlines that fly to Mauritius, but there not that much difference in flight only prices as airlines have created partnerships and code share and keep prices consistently high. If you compare long haul prices from London to South Africa, for example, the distance are comparable but the price differences are significant. Other Airlines include: Virgin, Air Emirates. Air Mauritius, and Air France. These airlines operates over 30 weekly flights to and from all the European major cities including 15 combined flights with Air France to and from Paris. For a brief time Air Seychelles operated flights to and from Mauritius, and fares were half that of the average price of all other airlines. A small family consisting of two adults and a child would cost about £800 in total including tax. While the aircraft interior needed modernisation, this was not essential, and passengers welcomed the low prices, but unfortunately this was short lived. Emirates introduced larger capacity planes, and it was hoped that with economies of scale, and some savings would be passed on to passengers, but prices were and have been kept high levels, even though plane occupancy rates are sometimes seen to be very low.
British Airways operates four weekly flights, Emirates Airlines three and Condor one. Visitors should be in possession of a passport that is valid for at least 6 months and a return ticket may stay up to three months. EU nationals do not require a visa.
