Another famous nature spot is the
multi-coloured earth near to the Chamarel Falls in the south-west of
Mauritius (for the propeller-heads, its 400m above sea level). The
natural colours of the earth are very impressive and intriguing how
mounds of earth of various hues can be seen next to one another. Vials of the muti-coloured earths can be bought from souvenir shops. Geologists are still not sure why there are many distinct colours that exist from a site that that has been around for over a millennia.
